I gained creative control of the Charlotte branch of the Old Road Dinner Train during the summer of 2008. My first play written specifically for that venue was ‘Murder Aboard.’ Opening night was October 4, 2008.
It was quite the success and ran for months, until April 4 2009. I produced, directed, and acted in the play. Style-wise, it was a comedic murder mystery with plenty of improv (about 75% scripted, 25% improv.) The final scene was unscripted, and we relied heavily on audience participation.
I also created a company to manage the finances, called Aboard & Abroad Productions LLC.
